Jin Shi Jyutsu Self-Help The Main Central
Bring Yourself into this Very Moment
The Main Central is a Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) self-help flow to bring yourself into the now, into this moment. After all this is the only moment you really have. The one, just a moment ago, when you started reading this sentence is gone forever & then next one isn’t here yet. So in the morning, the Main Central (MC) energizes you for the day. Done at night, it helps you let go of the day & fall asleep. The MC is about your whole body & whole being. And of course, it is simple & easy to do. So let’s start…

(By the way, this is Ingrid. She either offered to help or got drafted. I don’t remember exactly how that was… At any rate it was very generous of her to model for all of these pictures, plus tons of others, while I was trying to figure out what I wanted.)
Seat back & get comfortable. If you had rather, lay down, putting a pillow under your right elbow so it is comfortable & you don’t have to hold it up. Ingrid has placed her RIGHT hand on top of her head her LEFT hand on her 3rd Eye, the center of her forehead just above & between her eyebrows.
Exhale with a long sigh so there is room to inhale. Now wait. Wait for a rhythmic pulse between the two hands to know that these two “safety energy locks” (SEL), (we’ll talk about what that means later) have harmonized. Once that has happened, or when you are ready to move on, just move your LEFT hand to the tip of your nose.
And again, relaxing, letting go of all the things on your mind & exhaling. Inhaling will happen automatically. Exhaling is the trick. Waiting for the two SEL’s to pulse together, to harmonize. When that has happened or you are ready, move you LEFT hand to the V of your throat.

Not surprisingly, it is time to exhale again, letting go & waiting. Waiting for the pulsing to harmonize. Accomplished? If not, wait a little longer. Don’t rush. You will no doubt have an opportunity to rush later, if that is your thing. Continue to exhale as if your had all day or all night to do this. Pulsing together? Ready to move on? Move your LEFT hand to the middle of your breast bone or sternum.
Breathing. If you must think about it, think about exhaling. If you exhale, you will inhale, guaranteed. If you don’t exhale, you can’t inhale. There is no place to put the air. Go ahead, do a test. Exhale; notice that in just a moment you automatically inhale, just like you knew what you were doing. Now, inhale again & again. See, no place to put it. Same thing happens when you just kind of exhale & start taking short breaths. There is no way to get a real lung full of oxygen rich air. Pulsing? Let’s move on… Move your LEFT hand to the bottom of your sternum.

Breathing & letting go, letting go & breathing until it is a circle. Letting go of every single thing on your mind. Waiting for the harmony. When you are ready, move on. Move your LEFT hand to just above your navel.

How are you feeling as you just sit there or lie there, breathing & letting go? Waiting for the pulse but without a whole lot of thinking about it. Exhaling. Noticing the inhaling. Amazing! All you have to do to breathe is exhale. Harmonious pulsing yet? Ready to move on? Move your left hand to you pubic bone.

If it is the start of your day you may notice that your body is becoming energized. If you are in bed, you will probably notice you are snuggling in or possible you are back up there with your LEFT hand on the V of your throat & out cold. That’s okay. If you are still awake & with us & you have harmony going on, move your RIGHT hand to your tail bone. Notice we changed the hand that is on the move. So now your RIGHT hand is on your tail bone & your LEFT hand is on you pubic bone & you are exhaling & letting go, waiting for harmony in your whole being.

If this is the start of your day you may be ready to get up from where you are sitting & begin the rest of your day. If you are in bed, it’s time to snuggle in for a wonderful night’s sleep.
Ideally you would do the Main Central morning& night, daily. Why don’t you give it a test drive twice a day for a month? If you can’t quite see that, too much commitment when we hardly know each other, how about once a day for a month. I think if you did it twice a day for a month, you would be pleasantly surprised at how your whole being changed for the better. But do what works for you. I leave you in your very capable hands.
